As the Arts Council put it:

‘Survivors’ Poetry is also linked to regional survivors’ groups where activity levels are strong, and reaches out to those who may not have engaged in poetry and the arts before.’

Regional groups throughout the UK and beyond have formed to provide a forum for exchange and mutual support. Why not have a look through and contact your nearest group, if you are seeking common ground and people to meet.
